Children requiring reconstructive surgery deserve to be treated by skilled, experienced physicians. And because our surgeons are also parents, they clearly understand the importance of delivering this care to you and your children with great compassion.
The physicians of Illinois Plastic Surgery assess and treat abnormalities in children caused by birth defects, trauma, infection, tumors or disease. Affiliated with The Children’s Hospital of Illinois and the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria Pediatric Surgery Center, our team works closely with other pediatric specialists such as neurosurgeons, pediatric general surgeons, otolaryngologists, dentists, dermatologists and speech pathologists to provide complete care to their littlest patients.
Conditions treated include, but are not limited to, cleft lip and palate, craniofacial anomalies (such as craniosynostosis or synostosis), plagiocephaly (abnormal head shape), birthmarks, and ear and nose deformities. More information on specific procedures will be included on this website soon. Contact your IPS physician if you have any questions about your child’s reconstructive needs.
